[squid-users] Problem with search engines

Hi,

I put up an internet library with a squid-proxy server(child) connected to
another squid-proxy server(parent). The users in the internet library can
browse and access different sites, that is if they type in the correct
URLs. However, when a user uses a search engine, like google or msn, to
search for a site, the squid proxy(child) will return an error message "
the requested URL could not be retrieved, connection failed" after 2
minutes or so.

I installed squid-2.4Stable1 on Red Hat 7.2. NCSA_AUTH, external program
was used forauthentication.
