Squid version are 2.4.STABLE7 and 2.4.STABLE6.
We go through a single parent with does content filtering. Is there a way
to configure squid to go to an alternate parent if (and only if) the first
parent isn't responding?
We don't want it to go to the second parent at all if the first is up and
definitely not because the first has blocked the content. (In other words
it's only for emergencies).
I could do something similar with a cron job which reconfigures squid if
the parent stops responding but it would be nicer to do it through squid
itself if possible.
Thanks
