Hi Everyone,
I recently went through and updated our squid servers to 2.4stable7. As
part of the upgrade I decided to redo the configuration file. To do this
I took the basic configuration as is in the distribution and then added
in the standard ACL's we use and the standard peer cache lines. (BTW we
use authentication on our servers)
Everything was going fine until I noticed certain components not
working. After checking the logs I found quiet a few TCP_DENIED lines in
the file. (Relating to the components I couldn't access.)
I've checked the ACL's and http_access rules and nothing has changed. Is
there any log level I can use that shows me which acl denied the access?
I'm thinking there may be a setting in the configuration that tells the
cache to go direct, which is being denied by the auth acl. I found this
with the following configuration setting:
##hierarchy_stoplist cgi-bin ?
Once this line was removed most of the denied's disappeared, but still a
number remain.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. (P.S. this only occurs on the
sibling caches, not on the parent.)
