[squid-users] internal dns resolver is not using hosts file

Hi,

We are running Squid 2.4Stable in a RedHat 7.2 machine. I can't do Squid
use the /etc/hosts file to resolve names. I have the /etc/resolv.conf with
several nameserves and for this side all works fine.

I have the next entry in the /etc/nsswitch.conf:

hosts: files nisplus dns

But, if Squid is using internal resolver, it will ignore this file, I
think?

Where's the problem?
