And what do think is wrong with the HTTP 1.0 or 1.1 protocols? I think
you're jumping to a conclusion without proper investigation.

Make sure each proxy (Squid and accelerator) works correctly on their
own, first. Also keep in mind that most 'accelerators' are horrible
hacks that do not obey the HTTP protocol spec very thoroughly--if
something is broken, I would suspect the accelerator is broken.

Try to narrow down your problem to one specific set of variables...right
now, you've got a whole lot of places for problems to happen.
