[squid-users] acc=3, error=13, in squid2.4-stable2

Hi : My squid server is crashing and giving the following error in the log
file. Its trying to satrt the cild processes for authentication and then
getting killed, and then trying start again by itself....but after repeated
failures it the process exits with the following error.

fh_verify: squid/etc permission failure, acc=3, error=13
fh_verify: squid/etc permission failure, acc=3, error=13
fh_verify: squid/etc permission failure, acc=3, error=13
fh_verify: squid/etc permission failure, acc=3, error=13
fh_verify: squid/etc permission failure, acc=3, error=13
fh_verify: squid/etc permission failure, acc=3, error=13

I don't understand what the problem is.
