The solution to this problem is the same one that was discussed during
the past couple of weeks regarding authentication via a CGI script and
IP database. I'm thinking a fellow named Ryan Hairyes is currently on a
mission to write up a script to handle authentication in this way.
A couple of modifications (stripping out the login requirement, and
syncing the DHCP IP timeout with the IP timeout for Squid so that the
same IP won't be given out while it is 'live' in the proxy) will be
needed, but your problem is no more complex than Ryan's.
Maybe Ryan will chime in with an example script, or a link to what he
has come up with so far.
This probably ought to be generalized and documented in a way that folks
can use it for several related tasks (hot-spots, transparent proxies
that require authentication, internet cafes, etc.). Of course, someone
has to spend the time on it.
