[squid-users] Pls tell about the following !

i am querious on the following--
in my pc--intel 512mb ram & squid 2.4.stable6 with iproute & iptables(
transparent proxy) .. i got the following extrries in /proc/slabinfo
inode_cache 193474 200952 480 25119 25119 1
dentry_cache 131900 131910 128 4397 4397 1
buffer_head 56467 69800 96 1745 1745 1
ip_dst_cache 3844 4280 192 214 214 1
ip_conntrack 2921 3120 320 260 260 1

my Q is--> the ps-aux command shows only 27% memory usage for squid which
comes to about 140mb but if i add dentry cache & buffer cache the total comes
to more than 300mb used !... how can i use the above figures to understand
the usage of squid ?

no oher deamon/software/utilities is running on this server !
