I do not have any performance data (nor equipment to do it)
But as far as I can tell. I have 5 clients with the following config
Client--------squid------isvw
With no problems at all.

Yes what sort of Hardware are we looking at as a benchmark?
And are there any problems with configuration.

It is possible, but do you want performance data? Or do you want squid and
ISVW config details?

Has anyone tried running Interscan virus wall & squid on the same server?
Obviously on different ports ie. Interscan running on 3128 which is
forwarding requests to port 8080 on the same server.
Ie. Client --> Interscan(port 3128) --> Squid(port 8080) --> Internet
I’m pretty sure its possible but I’m not sure about the performance hit it
would take?
Any suggestions would be great

Try Interscan virus wall ( http://www.antivirus.com). It is one of the more
simple to install.
After setting up the squid with all your ACLs, and stuff
1- Make your ISVW listen to a port like 8080
2- Make the ISVW a self_proxy (self_proxy=yes under [http] section in
intscan.ini)
3- Add this to your squid
a. Cache_peer the_ip_where_ISVW_is_running_ parent 8080 0 default no-query
b. Never_direct allow all
Restart squid and ISVW…your ready.
This is a basic squid/isvw steup. It may require some more work for your
specific installation.
Cheers,
