Hello,
Yahoo Chat probably uses a port not enabled in Squid. Hunt around the Yahoo!
pages to see if there is advice on getting it to run via firewalls/proxies.
You don't really need people to use Squid to got to things like chat, since
there is clearly no information that can be usefully cached in real time
applications.
