well if the condition like that.. maybe better
you're using some (2-3) redirector box that
handles wccp and have some failover mechanism
incase the redirector box itself failed
and some cache array located
on different segment (tunnel mode), each cache
using different router to internet if throughput
limited by io / packet not by cpu bound. , using
wccp to forward packet to respective cache node
using some schedules that you want.. eg :
simplest one.. round robind, weighted round
robin, least connected , etc. :)

need, the cache array on same ethernet segment,
if i not misunderstood the concept.
