Kindest ..

I've been trying to figure out how to make squid cache dynamic
content for a slow site. This site does make extensive use of
cookies .. and as it is based on aolserver dynamic pages consists
of to files that are "merged" to one object that is returned to
the client.

Example:
<url>/index

.
.

would consist of:

<url>/index.tcl
<url>/index.adp

.
.

The tcl file describes the database extraction layer and manages
all such code and presents data to the adp templating layer. This
should be hidden from squid's eyes, but I cannot get these pages
to cache .. I always get MISS'es on those pages which are slow
due to the sql being run in the background.

The setup consits of;

1 SparcStation 20 running aolserver connected to backend databases
1 SparcStation 20 running squid serving clients

In essence; I would like to cache all "dynamic index pages" for
at least 30 minutes (perhaps even an hour) and all other pages
with default values. What needs to be done with respect to;

* Http headers (cache-control etc.)
* squid.conf
* ... anything else!

I would apriciate any input as I am quite new to content caching
techniques with respect to squid.

All you people have a nice day .. and a merry x-mas when it shows
up!
