Then I would suggest starting by upgrading to Squid-2.4.STABLE2 (the
currently supported version) or try the upcoming Squid-2.5 release. If that
does not help, see the Squid FAQ on how to report a bug.

What I can tell is that this specific bug most likely does not exists in the
upcoming Squid-2.5 release.. the pump.c file no longer exists due to new
requirements in request processing, and has been completely replaced by other
mechanisms that hopefully is easier to keep bug free...
