Your system ran out of amount of open files it can handle (files, not
file descriptors.. you had plenty of filedescriptors left)..
You need to tune your system to allow more open files and/or in-memory
inodes. Also quite likely you will need to tune other parameters as well
such as the amount of available TCP ports.
