I am currently testing squid 2.5 from squid-head-200109192301
with digest authentication and have run into a problem with
urls that use commas. A single comma is fine, but multiple
commas cause the password request to popup repeatedly until
auth fails. All that is logged is a TCP_DENIED/407
Some examples:
www.sky.com redirects to www1.sky.com/skycomHome/homepage/
Works fine
www.sky.com/skynews redirects to www.sky.com/skynews/home/0,,,00.html
This pops up the password requester three times before
failing.
www.zdnet.com/anchordesk/stories/story/0,10738,2812283,00.html
Works fine
www.zdnet.com/anchordesk/stories/story/0,,10738,2812283,00.html
(Note the extra comma)
Fails without attempting to retrieve the page.
Are these styles of url 'forbidden' in some way and is there any
way of working around this?
