[squid-users] squid dying

Hi all
there is some srot of strange happening with on of my caches
squid sudden;y died with
comm_poll: poll failure: (12) Cannot allocate memory
2001/10/06 19:29:01| Select loop Error. Retry 10

and /var/log/messages shows me

 cache kernel: eth1: can't fill rx buffer (force 0)!
Oct 6 19:29:01 cache (squid): Select Loop failed!
Oct 6 19:29:01 cache kernel: eth1: can't fill rx buffer (force 1)!
Oct 6 19:29:01 cache last message repeated 3 times
Oct 6 19:29:01 cache kernel: eth1: can't fill rx buffer (force 0)!

howver after some time squid started automatically
i dunno what is wrong
some problem with the n.w interface
any help will be appreciated
