[squid-users] SMP under Linux, is it worth it?

Hello,

I maintain a 2.4STABLE2 box running Async-IO, on a PIII-800 with 1Go RAM.
Since (and correct me if I am wrong) 2.4S2 w/aufs uses threads, is there any
performance gain to be obtained by using DUAL 1GHZ processors? I don't
obviously expect CPU to drop by 50%, however when I near 80 reqs/sec I also
near 100% CPU usage, and I would like to reduce this to a more comfortable
margin.
