I like LVS <http://www.linuxvirtualserver.org> but I'm biased because we
are developing a product based on it for use with our Squid-based
caching line.

Our clients have had good luck using Alteon balancers, though, so they
might be worth looking into if you need a well-known vendor and a big
fat price tag.
