Thanks Rob!
I created the symlinks for errors, icons, unlinkd and mime.conf and squid
is now starting in chroot-jail without error-messages =;-).
(/chroot/squid/usr/sbin/squid -sYDX -f /chroot/squid/etc/squid/squid.conf)

Now I have two daemon problems:
A proper shutdown of squid is not possible. A "
/chroot/squid/usr/sbin/squid -k shutdown -f
/chroot/squid/etc/squid/squid.conf "
or " /chroot/squid/usr/sbin/squid -k check-f
/chroot/squid/etc/squid/squid.conf " reports nothing to syslog/console.

Without Paramter "-f /chroot/squid/etc/squid/squid.conf"squid complains a
missing squid.conf. A symlink for squid.conf is like adding -f /chroot/....

The ungracefully "/chroot/squid/usr/sbin/squid -k kill -f
/chroot/squid/etc/squid/squid.conf" leads into a killed child an a new
created child-process.
All without errormessages.

The only way to stop squid is a "kill <pids>".

Any hints for that ?

This is a known *feature* due to the way squid handles chrooting...
