ok.....I've installed squid-2.4.STABLE1 in my linux redhat 7.1 machine
(even though i had it in another machine with the same OS, and log_fqdn
didnt work there)...turned on log_fqdn, accessed a few pages with the
proxy to test it, and then checked access.log.Nothing happened. I still
got IPs,instead of FQDNs (hostnames). This is quite frustrating. The
thing is, I had turned on emulate_httpd_log and log_mime_hdrs options
just to know if access.log can apply these changes..
I found out that access.log did changed its format according to these
options. But not log_fqdn. Why is it so stubborn?? I've tried everything
i could think of to make it work, but to no avail! Is this some kind of
(oh,my) bug? I dont really think so, since I've searched squid archives
and I seem to be the only one with the persistent problem. It must be me
and my machine, but what??
I hope you guys wont throw me out of the mailing list or anything for
asking the same question over and over again. I just need some answers
to this problem.Thanks.
