How much RAM are you using? How do you have your cache_dir setup? What kind
of load do you have on your system?

Have you tried manually setting your proxy in your web browser (without
going transparently)?

i have implemented wccp with cisco router
using squid on linux redhat 6.2
hot mail coming very slow
when i remove wccp and cache server its pretty good
what could be the problem
