[squid-users] Errors during installation of gcc

Before installing smb_auth I have to install gcc (Gnu c-compiler).

   cd /usr/local
   tar -xvf gcc-2.95.2.tar
   # Konfigurieren
   mkdir /usr/local/gcc
   cd /usr/local/gcc
   /usr/local/gcc-2.95.2/configure
   # Build
   make bootstrap

The last make command aborts with following error:

ld:
Unresolved:
ASM_FILE_START
*** Exit 1
Stop.
*** Exit 1
Stop.
*** Exit 1
Stop.

Any hints?

OS = True64 5.1 (patchkit 3)
