[squid-users] newbie:still dont know how to view squid cache files!!

hi all....
i still cant work out how to view the cache files in squid..i checked my
cache dir and opened a 000000000 file:

what is this stuff? how to interpret this into a human-readable format? i
just want to know where squid stored the images and how long will it last.
I have tried looking at /src/store_swapmeta.c...but i dont know how to
use it...can somebody shed a light on this??please??And also, the url
above in the 00000000n cache file seems clickable in the terminal emulator
program, but when i tried
to click it, nothing happened in netscape.Why? How can i make it
clickable? I'm using redhat 6.1...
