Are you trying to list the ftp site? IE 5+ has problems with this. You must
disable 'Enable folder view for FTP sites' in the Internet Options for it to
work.
You shouldn't have any problems trying to download a file using IE. I mean
put the whole url in the address bar, with the file name, and it should
download it without any problems. The only problem is listing the ftp site
contents.
Cheers
Gustavo

Subject: [squid-users] FTP: does not work !
Yes I know that Squid is no FTP proxy, but I want to have FTP access with my
webbrowser. My problem: I have configured (see configuration)
SQUID-2.4.STABLE 1 and compiled (with no errors).
I am using SQUID as transparent proxy (see iptables).
All is fine (HTTP) except FTP. IE cannot make a FTP connection, although it
is possible with an other box and the binaries from SUSE (SQUID-2.3).
Do you have any idea what's wrong with my configuration ?
Thank you !
Gregor
