So, you have lots of machines from outside continually hitting your squid
server. Correct? Think about the problem and you'll see the only course of
action you have is to block those addresses hitting you before they get on
your link. True? If you have nothing listening on port 80 that outsiders
need to see, get your ISP to block all traffic to your network on port 80.
Blocking their access at the squid server protects machines inside your
squid server. It isn't going to magically stop the rogue machines hitting
your squid server. You need to stop them before they get onto your link.
Now, go talk to your ISP. There is nothing anyone on this list can do to
help you.
