I believe you have to list the removal policies you want to enable, like
this " --enable-removal-policies=heap,lru". If you run the "./configure
--help | more" command, you will see the correct syntax.
Peace....

Subject: [squid-users] Can't use GDSF replacement policy
I was upgrading to squid 2.4 STABLE1 apply all patches ( as of 8/9/2001 )
I configure with these options...
./configure --prefix=/usr --exec-prefix=/usr --bindir=/usr/sbin
--libexecdir
=/usr/lib/squid --localstatedir=/var --sysconfdir=/etc/squid
--enable-delay-
pools --enable-cache-digests --enable-poll --disable-ident-lookups
--enable-
truncate --enable-removal-policies --enable-kill-parent-hack
--enable-linux-
netfilter --enable-underscores --enable-snmp
But when I start squid it gave me an error saying don't recognize GDSF
replacement_policy but I can use LRU with no problem.
What's wrong with my configure?
