[squid-users] usermane and password for auth module

Hi,
   I have a next question:
     - is it possible to crypt username and password from client's browser to Squid?
     - Will come SSL authentification in Squid?

As I understand - there is no such any encryption at all (from browser
to Squid proxy). All users can sniff traffic and then just unpack a HTTP header for User and Password fieds?
