[squid-users] Squid slowing the access

I have a squid 2.4.STABLE running on an AMD 700 MHZ CPU machine with 128
MB RAM.

When browsing the net without this proxy, the performance is much better,
than when using it.

Pls tell me how I can figure out what is wrong, and how to fine tune the
cahce so my users get all the benefits.
