Hi Andrei,

Your hint of the icp port "7" helped me a lot.
I am already setting up multiple proxy parents and the "...unavailable..."
pops up from time to time. Good thing I tried your "7" hint and it worked!!
(No more "..unavailable.." message )

Thanks again, Andrei.

 Hi,

To my knowledge, this is actually very simple.

Keep proxy1 as it is now, but only allow access to it from proxy2.

Set up proxy2 to accept your clients, to cache data and to forward all
cache misses to proxy1

Mainly, in proxy2 you have to put a line like this:

cache_peer proxy1 parent 3128 7 no-query

This means that all queries not in the local cache are forwarded via
tcp to proxy1 and proxy1 will fetch them for us.
Note that ICP is disabled for such a configuration.
