127.0.0.1 means ur running the DNS on the same system. check if the reverse file for 127.0.0.1 exists in your named directory, create the reverse file if its not there. U can configure DNS forwarder to your own DNS or some DNS outside if u want to keep the caching DNS at the same machine, if u don't have ur own dns u can use 204.70.128.1 or 195.185.185.185 or some else for forwarding. Well u can put these nameservers directly into your /etc/resolv.conf file for ur squid running.

  hello, i have problem on my proxy server, im using squid for about 2 months and i encounter no problem, but this past few days it cannot browse on all of the site anymore! i try the command "nslookup" to resolve if the problem is on my DNS, i found this error!

  [root@super etc]# nslookup
  *** Can't find server name for address 127.0.0.1: No response from server
  *** Default servers are not available

  pls. anybody knows how to fix my problem thanks in advance!
