hello,
actually i have a squid 2.5 proxy with NTLM authentication
it works fine for pc under windows 9x or NT, all these pc
are logged onto an NT domain at boot
so no pop-up windows appears when lauching ie (thx ntlm)
there are also some Macintosh users that have to access
the net through the squid proxy
for the moment i given them the access by checking their
ip but it's pretty unsecure because anyone can get their
ip
so i would like to know :
1/ if it is possible to have two (or more) authentication
scheme working at a time for squid 2.5
2/ if there is a way to authenticate Macintosh users on
squid by their username or something more secure than by
their ip or machine name
and if there a way to do it automaticaly (without
authentication pop-up)
3/ if there is a way to authenticate Macintosh users on
an NT domain when MacOS starts (as windows does)
thanks in advance
damien
