[squid-users] Connection Drops

Hi

I am using Squid/2.3.STABLE4 since past 2 months. 40 odd clients are accessing internet through it. The problem is that the connection at client's end drops after every 30-40 minutes for 5 minutes.. sometimes more and more frequently too. During the drop period if I ping my squid server's internal IP, it gets the proper reply but its external ip gets request timed out and if I restart that client it starts browsing again.

I am quite sure that this is not the problem of network since the drop doesnt occur at all the clients together. In other words, when most of the clients can access the internet at a particular time, few others cant. Still remains a mystery to me.

Any words of suggestion would be a big relief.
