Hi,
Squid -z is used only to create directories.
To get squid running you must type just squid.
When you type ps aux | grep squid, are you able to see any squid process?

Subject: [squid-users] Cannot connect error?
After running the squid -z command it want to test, so I type
"./client http://www.yahoo.com" and get
"Cannot connect to localhost:3128 no such file or directory"
I am confused about security and want to do away with it. (don't need it)
Any help would be appreciated.
