This will probably be your default route.
type route and see where the default router leads to.
1. Check in your options file the the following line exists. Usually
/etc/ppp/options or something of the like.
defaultroute
2. Or you can just type
route add default ppp0

Can anyone help me solve the following problem.
We are not able to send or receive any bytes from the NET. We followed
the following steps
Run Wvdial with our ISP connection.
After getting message Starting PPD
We tried CHK command which pings on net ( mail.yahoo.com)
After this there is no response from the NET.
if there is a problem we are not even getting error message.
Screen just waits for response from the net i.e. Connection is done
but no network traffic.
Normally after getting connection to net when we try for CHK command
it returns the messages like
" 10 Bytes received from 253.23.05.63 "
