[squid-users] MS Internet Explorer ignoring proxy server?

I have some client machines to my squid proxy server that are set to use the
proxy in internet explorer, but for some reason it seems to go straight past
it and out to the internet. I have the gateway set to the machine that
connects to the internet and the DNS set to the ISP's DNS servers. How do I
stop this happening?
