[squid-users] httpd-accelerator mode ignores cache dir size limit

I am using squid in the httpd-accelerator mode with the =
httpd_accel_with_proxy directive set to off. My cache_dir dirrective =
reads as follows: cache_dir ufs /opt/squid/cache 100 16 256

Yet my cache is above 900 MB and this is not counting the almost 2 GIG =
swap.state file.....!! How can I get squid to respect the limit of the =
cache?
