Hi,
I posted to the list before, but nobody answers. I've searched through the
lists' archieve & FAQ.
Surely it's a classic problem, I cannot create a new cache directory.
Here's the condition :
- I run squid on Linux Mandrake 7.2
- I use 'squid' user and 'squid' group to run squid as a daemon.
- Standard configuration works well, which has /var/spool/squid for the
cache_dir.
- I create a dir. for the new cache_dir, inside /mnt/sda2/squid_spool
- I did #chown squid /mnt/sda2/squid_spool and #chgrp squid
/mnt/sda2/squid_spool
- I double checked with ls -l and get it right
- In squid.conf I added the line for the new cache_dir
- I restarted the squid daemon
- I did : #squid -z , and get an error > /mnt/sda2/squid_spool:(13)
permission denied.
Is there anything left in my steps ? I verified /var/spool/squid and
/mnt/sda2/squid_spool. They both have the same directory rights settings.
Thanks,
Arief K
