[SQU] can I change an existing cache_dir?

Hi, Just wanting to know if I change my cache_dir settings from:
cache_dir ufs /var/spool/cache/ 3371 16 256
to:
cache_dir ufs /var/spool/cache/ 3000 8 256
will I loose my cache?
