I apologize in advance for this question because I did search the archives, but still
need clarification on a problem.
I'm dealing with a squid box that was misconfigured to allow the cache_dir to grow too
large and fill up the disk completely. I reconfigured squid.conf and want recoupe the
disk space from cache.
If I shutdown squid and do a: echo "" >/cache/swap.state
will squid delete the old cache files itself?
or do I need to manually remove all the cache dirs/files myself and run
squid -z to properly get rid of the cache files?
Thanks for any assistance with this,
Roger
