I compiled 2.3.STABLE4 (-hno.20000819), installed it, and when I run it squid
bails out with

On the squid bugs page, something similar is noted as a bug in
2.3.DEVEL2. The bug is marked as "fixed", and the accompanying patch
is indeed present in 2.3.STABLE4. So it looks like this is something
different. But what ?
