New stuff is implemented all the time. See squid.sourceforge.net for
some of the stuff going on.
A good way to get started is to
a) Have a reasonable knowledge in C
b) have a mindset that Squid is only a big state machine centered around
the active connections.
c) Read the little information there are in the programmers guide
d) Begin fiddling around, and ask on squid-dev@squid-cache.org when you
need help understanding a certain piece of the code.
