Ok. So then it is a question about HTTP caching and not actually FTP
caching.. The virus scanner is the HTTP->FTP gateway in such a setup.
If you enable log_mime_hdrs then the HTTP headers returned by the virus
scanner should be logged in Squids access.log. From this information it
should be quite easy to determine why the objects are (not) cached.
