Hello Alexander
This is what normally happens. Your Users will get this Error msg whenever
they input an Invalid URL in their Browsers (IE , Netscape, Opera etc),
provided they are going through your (squid) proxy.
You don't need to worry about it.
Kind Regards

Subject: [SQU] Transparent Proxy
Hello,
I've tried to set up transparent proxy on my local router which is
running Linux with kernel 2.2.16-RAID and squid 2.3.STABLE4. I've read
the howto's and understand to add the fullowing lines:
http_port 3128
httpd_accel_host virtual
httpd_accel_port 80
httpd_accel_with_proxy on
httpd_accel_uses_host_header on
Also I added some port direction at my router:
ipchains -A input -p tcp -s 192.168.1.0/24 -d 0/0 80 -j REDIRECT 3128
After restart of squid I switched off proxy at the clients (Netscape)
and tried... I always get the page from squid:
ERROR
The requested URL could not be retrieved
While trying to retrieve the URL: /
The following error was encountered:
Invalid URL
Some aspect of the requested URL is incorrect. Possible problems:
Missing or incorrect access protocol (should be `http://'' or
similar)
