Hello !
Sounds to me that you are running a backup each night
which is using large amounts of disk space (in example
for tarŽing the data ...).
Just an Idea.
Kind Regards
Christoph

Subject: Squid terminates every night !!
Second day in turn my squid terminates abnormally, by saying the following
error in cache.log file. It says about disk space on hard drive, but there
is enough free disk space left on my disks. Some lines of my cahce.log:
2000/08/09 22:30:48| diskHandleWrite: FD 2: disk write error: (28) No space
left on device
2000/08/09 22:30:48| storeDirWriteCleanLogs: Starting...
2000/08/09 22:30:48| WARNING: Closing open FD 8
2000/08/09 22:30:48| Finished. Wrote 54133 entries.
2000/08/09 22:30:48| Took 0.2 seconds (245573.5 entries/sec).
FATAL: Write failure -- check your disk space and cache.log
Squid Cache (Version 2.3.STABLE2): Terminated abnormally.
Where could be the problem, please help ..?
John
