Hi Nick!
It would be helpful, if you say what error pages some users get!
For example, if a server doesn't exists, you get the error page from squid...

Betreff: performance..
hello.. i have had squid running for about a month now.. and we have
about 1000 users.
its a pentum 2 450. with 512 MB of Ram. 3 SCSI hard disks. (each one has a
1800mb squid cache partition)
and some users are getting squid error pages.. i am very concerned that
squid is not performing well enough
to keep up with the load.. the hit % is good.. and the "byte ratio" seems
somewhat high
what can i check or do to see what the heck is going on? any help would be
greatly appriciated.
im using a cisco 2620 with a route-map to do the redirecting..
thanks in advance
~Nick
