Hi
I have just installed a new Squid to peer with an existing Squid and am
seeing a lot of the following
2000/07/10 12:30:29| TCP connection to proxy2.my.squid/8080 failed
2000/07/10 12:30:32| TCP connection to proxy2.my.squid/8080 failed
2000/07/10 12:30:32| TCP connection to proxy2.my.squid/8080 failed
2000/07/10 12:30:35| TCP connection to proxy2.my.squid/8080 failed
2000/07/10 12:30:59| TCP connection to proxy2.my.squid/8080 succeeded
Up to 10 will fail and then one will succeed. happens all day regardless of
load.

2000/07/10 12:29:15| Successful DNS name lookup tests...
2000/07/10 12:29:15| DNS Socket created on FD 5
I have never seen these errors before, Is it a squid issue or more likely a
network congestion problem? The network seems OK otherwise and the origional
squid does not report any errors in it's log.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks
Kevin
