Squid running out of disc space

Dear Squid Guru's
                        I have 3 cache discs of 3.9gb each they are all
running at 96% full. Squid drops out on a regular basis. running 2.2 stable
5 What do need to change to reduce this down to about 85% or so across the
discs. Any help would be much appreciated.
