using ssl with the ldap authentification client

hi,
I'm looking on using netware's ldap server for authentification.
My problem is that netware refuse clear text password, as send by the
ldap client shipped with squid.
I need to encrypt the password over ssl.
does anyone know how to assemble every part ? (ldap client, sslay,
openssl ....)
