Have you tried to set the DNS Server in the squid conf
Example: dns_nameservers 10.0.0.1 192.172.0.4
or if you colling you own Linux box whit 127.0.0.1 then you have to
set the rigth dns server in netconf (on redhat)
of curs whit the right IP nr. of you DNS server from you ISP
