Hello,
has anyone got any idea, what would cause a proxy server to just keep taking up memory even when its not in use and the cache dirs are totally purged?
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sdb1 33G 64M 31G 0% /cache-1
and under TOP
PID USER PRI NI SIZE RSS SHARE STAT LIB %CPU %MEM TIME COMMAND
2869 nobody 14 0 96872 94M 1100 R 0 94.1 9.9 0:13 squid
2875 nobody 1 0 96872 94M 1100 S 0 2.9 9.9 0:00 squid
then a few minutes later
PID USER PRI NI SIZE RSS SHARE STAT LIB %CPU %MEM TIME COMMAND
2722 nobody 18 0 129M 129M 1100 R 0 93.0 13.6 0:20 squid
2730 nobody 1 0 129M 129M 1100 S 0 4.0 13.6 0:00 squid
there are currently NO users on this system, and the cache is empty, anyone have any idea?
the squid version is 2.2-stable5
thankyou
Jimmy
